Mike Honl (2nd Term) ~ Chairman

Steven Meckle has been the pastor at Mott Evangelical Community Church since August 2017.  He studied at Grace University and has received a Bachelor’s degree in pastoral ministry as well as a Master’s degree in Christian ministry with an emphasis in rural church ministry. Steven has been married to his wife Kayleen for 6 years and they have a 3-year-old son, Caleb.  Steven has a passion for rural communities and rural churches and loves to see them come together to strengthen each other.

Mike Lundberg

Mike joined the staff at Calvary Evangelical Free Church in Rugby, ND, in January 2018. He is from the Bemidji, MN area and attended NDSU and Western Seminary. He is married to Jodi and they have four children. Mike loves to hunt, camp, fish, ride ATV’s and snowmobiles. Having been a church planter, Mike desires to see the district start new churches.

John Vines (Treasurer)

John is married to Joy Vines and the dad to 5 girls and 1 boy. He is a native of Pittsburgh Pa. but has spent most of his life in Southern California. John had served 9 years as an Exec / Admin pastor prior to coming to Fargo as the Operations Manager at Salem Evangelical Free Church of Fargo in 2012 When family commitments leave some free time, John enjoys biking, fishing or a good book on the porch along with a little ice cream.

Randy Alexander

Randy is retired from Pfizer Pharmaceuticals. He and his wife Raylene have been active members of GracePoint Church for over 30 years; they have two adult daughters and five grandchildren. Randy currently serves as Awana Ministry Director, Greeter Ministry Director, and Small Group Leader. He enjoys planting trees, predator hunting, bowhunting, and spending time with grandchildren. Randy is passionate about serving and mentoring.

Jeff Piatt

Jeff has been pastor at Lakeside Bible Church in Mobridge, SD since January 2003. He has been married to Sharon, his high school sweetheart, for 28 years. They have 3 children and 10 grandchildren. In addition to pastoring, Jeff works construction with his 2 adult sons in their construction business. He loves working with his sons and the chance to be out and about with so many people in the community and the ministry opportunities that creates. Prior to moving to South Dakota, Jeff served as an associate pastor in Indiana and also served in the United States Army.

Andy Veith

Andy is the Senior Pastor at Bethel Church in Fargo, ND. He is a native of Des Moines, Iowa and a graduate of Upper Iowa University and Faith Theological Seminary. He is married to his high school sweetheart and best friend, Loree. They have four children, Brandyn, Bryanna, Mikayla and Jaryd. They have been at Bethel for 8 months and are returning a second time, after serving as the youth pastor from 1996-2000. Andy enjoys golfing and watching sports and going to movies.

Mel Nelson (Secretary)

Mel is President and CEO of Executive Management Systems, Inc. Married to Cia, they have 4 children and 9 grandchildren. An NDSU graduate, he was a special student at TEDS for two quarters before being called back into business. They attend Salem Evangelical Free Church in Moorhead, MN and have deep ties to Faith (in Grand Forks), Bethel (in Fargo) and Eagle Valley (in Christine).


Tyrena Hallett

Tyrena is married to Jonathon Hallett the pastor of Grace Evangelical Free Church in Beulah ND. At church, Tyrena teaches a ladies bible study and worked to start a Celebrate Recovery Ministry. Tyrena enjoys spending her free time crocheting and embroidering gifts for her church and family.
